My 99' SD windshield is tough to see through when the sun hits it, because of speckling from road debris. Does anybody know of some product to buff the windshield so it will look clear? And have you actually use it yourself?
I know there is somthing like that, but I have never seen or used it before. I read somthing about a "do it yourself" kit in a magazine awhile ago. If I remember right they said it worked.
good luck you'll find somthing sooner or later.
you might want to ckeck at a windsheild repair place they could help you out if they don't insist to selling you a new windsheild.
I'm afraid you're going to have to replace your windshield.
My Dad's car had this real bad, it was like someone sand blasted the windshield. He tried everything, from wax to the most abrasive commercial rubbing compounds he could buy (once it became obvious he couldn't fix it, and he was just mad at it)
None of the auto glass places in town would touch it, they were all afraid of affecting it's structural integrity.
I wouldn't give up too soon, but I'd start saving for a new windshield, and compare the money you might spend trying to fix it to the cost of just buying a new one.
