2005 F150 paint rusting what's going on???

I have a 05 oxford white color lariat 4x4 and I thought it had orange tar spots speckled all over so I got some tar remover. The closer I examined them I realized it's rust spots bleeding through the paint. The truck is only 5 months old with 9K miles, anyone hear of this happening? Do I have to have the whole truck painted?

Take it back to the dealer, they'll tell you what they need to do.

Its not actually rust, or at least thats what our local bosy shop told me and it only appears on white cars and trucks. It will come right off when you wax. It has happened to alot of my buddys with all different makes and models of vehicles. So just give the truck a good coat of wax, then sit back and

I have had 5 white trucks and all you need to do it clay the paint and it will all disappear. Do the clay before you wax as it will take the wax off. You can find a clay kit atlmost any auto chains. Mothers, Mcguiers (sp), etc. It will make a night and day difference!!

The rust spots are rail dust from when truck was shipped via train most likely. Clay bar is the way to go.

If they are indeed rail dust...claying will remove them. A mild polish may also be required.

If they are indeed under the clear..it's a whole different story. And painting will have to be done. But...try clay first to make sure.

I thought it was overspray on my F150. Will have to look into this ClayBar stuff and some good quality wax as well.

Clay is the way to go! I use the clay magic on my truck once a month . it keeps the paint smooth as a babies butt. While you're at it,try the armor all wash & wax stuff. After you wash the truck just spread a little of their ''wax it dry'' on each surface as you dry it. WORKS GREAT
