80,000 miles on my last set and gave the rear tires to my worker for his truck. I don't know how many miles he put on them after he put them on his truck. As you know, I run 80 psi in the rear and 70 psi in the front all the time. I must have had some special tires because none of the tires wore in the middle, they wore even across the threads.

The only thing that would worry me about the spacers, are with a load and making a tight turn, I wonder how much twist is being put on the aluminum?

Also, It's not like the tires on one side are turning independent of each other.

I'm just going to run em and see what happens. If they worked for you, I shouldn't have any problems either.
I'll get a fat girl to sit on my tailgate, and I'll see what the tires look like, I'll go from there.

Hey, your right about that Rick, Plus the cost to feed the three would probably be the same as one big fatty...

I know this thread is a little old but I recently found a rim with a 136mm offset, which is about 9mm more than my stock rim at around 127mm. If I use two 136mm rims on the rear it should give me approximately half inch more than what I have now and still utilize the hub-centeric system. I purchased the wheel for $80 from
New 85-87 88 89 90 91 92 93 94 95 96 97 Ford F350 Dually 16x6" Steel Rim/Wheel | eBay

the only problem is I need to drill the pilot hole 90 degrees from the valve stem to keep my air hose system balanced. I tried the rim on the front and inboard/outboard dually position. It appears the inner tire will only be approximately 1/4 of an inch closer to the inner fender.

Any thoughts?

I drilled the pilot hole with no problems and they balanced without any issues. Very satisfied with the space of just one new wheel on each side of the rear.

No. I had duals as an original but I could barely get a finger between the sidewalls and when I rotated them I noticed the sidewalls were rubbing either when loaded or over bumps.

I was pulling about 6500 pounds at 55 on Rt20 and never knew the load was behind me. Rt20 is a real windy and twisty snake. I wouldn't pull without duals. My buddy pulled his mega-horse trailer with a single wheel. His truck broke down and he borrowed a neighbors dually. When he got back he couldn't believe the difference and sold his single wheel and purchased a dualy.
