2005 f350 dually hub/bolt pattern question

Ok, so I know the dually bolt pattern on 2005+ dually trucks is 8x200 vs the regular 8x170 on the SRW trucks (and 8x170 on the 99-04 dually trucks)

my question is, on the front of an 05-07 dually, if i were to remove the factory dually "spacer" and bolt a SRW wheel on the front, would it be 8x170 at that point without the spacer? i've heard it is, and it makes sense for Ford to leave it 8x170 then just change it to 8x200 using the dually spacer/adapter rather than making a whole new axle/hub just so the 05-07 trucks have 8x200.

if it IS 8x170 without the front spacer installed, would that same OEM front spacer from the 05-07 dually bolt on my 04 dually front end, thus allowing me to run 8x200 factory wheels?

if so again, what are my options for the rear on my 04 as far as running 8x200 dually wheels?

basically i'm wanting to run 05-07 17" 8x200 OEM dually wheels on my 2004 dually, so i can have a large selection of 37x12.50x17 tires to run, as there aren't many 37x12.50x16 tires to use with my current stock wheels.

i believe the front end will work like i am thinking, but i am not sure about the rear.

I think there is a brake system difference that you need to look into.

DRW 8x170 to 8x200

Althought this posting is now 5 years later it may provide info to someone looking to do the same thing as the OP.
I have a 1999 F350 DRW and wanted to go to 17" wheels too. The 05-later DRW front adapters (8x200) will bolt onto a 99-04 SRW or DRW front hub.
For the rear I swapped rearends for a 2007 DRW with 8x200 as my original needed rebuilding anyhow. Swapping the later rearend required a new passenger upper shock mount (staggered shocks 05 and later) and retaining the 99-04 emergency brake acttuator arm onto the 05-later rear. You cannot simply swap rear hubs either as the housings are different widths and rear caliper flanges have different offsets.
