3rd brake light bulb question

3rd brake light bulb question

My bulbs out before i dig into it i was wondering is it the same bulb as the regular brake lights? just wondering.

Not positive. Very easy to get to the 3rd brake light bulb. If it was me I'd take the old bulb out and put the new one in right in the parts store parking lot. It only takes 2 screws to take the 3rd brake light off.

Same bulb used in the the over cab lights.. they are the Sylvania 906... Just replaced mine with the 906LL's

Ive got after market cab lights not sure on the bulb. Its been raining non stop for like 4 days now and im due on an inspection!

I believe he means the cargo lights. Not the clearance lamps.

There was also a thread on here a few months back about the third brake light having an affect on your torque convertor lock/unlock, so dont let it go to long in case your truck is one of those trucks
