Mileage Update 6.4l Diesel

Have now done some highway testing since the upgrades, this is with the 150 street tune.

Straight highway 13.2L/100 km @ 115km

So that works out to 17.8 US, and 21.5 Imp MPG.

Question are most vehicles in Canada advertised with the Imp or US mpg??

John, was that hand calculated? I know that most programmers really skew the accuracy of the lie-o-meters...

So what would you peg your mpg increase to be?

The Best pre-tuner was 18.4imp MPG on a trip up to saskatoon @ 110kph. Return trip must have had a head wind as it was down to 16.7imp MPG again @ 110kph.

+3 MPG from my best before, and even more from other times.

Good stuff, that`s very respectable!

Thats a hell of an improvement John! I would think if you have few problems with it, the amount of fuel saved, over a long period of time, will actually pay for the tuner.

My 7.3 used to get 25 mpg on the highway consistantly on the way to and from Edmonton, hand calculated, averaged over 75,000 kms or so. I dont have nearly the power that a 6.4 with a tuner has though! (I havent checked my fuel economy for along time now either, and I rolled over 300,000 kms a few months ago)

25 would be a dream! And the damn power is a double edged sword, its sooooo fun, but man does it empty the tank fast if you use it.

Some days you just have to go for the smiles per gallon instead of the miles per gallon!
