need help.. fire

On the road and smelled burnt wires. Pulled over and the wire coming out of the fuel bowl in drivers side is on fire. Got it put out but what is it? Can I run the truck still or will more damage by caused. Need help ASAP

The top wire is the fuel heater. The lower is the water in fuel sensor. If its a 96-97.

Was there fuel present? If not just pull the connector off the bowl. Start it up and inspect. Driving it is up to you.

It's a 95. Yes there was fuel. It leaks into valley from somewhere not sure where. Glad its not a passer would have been disaster.

I would not start it unless you have a fire extinguisher handy. Probably fire up again unless you get the problem fixed. Bad parts is that you might have to start it find out where the problem was....
