building a rockcrawing buggy powered by an 86 300 and a c6.i need a wiring harness to run the motor. it on propane so i need help to get the ign,and dist hooked up and fireing. also i need to know which flywheel to use for the auto, motor came out of a standard. any help would be great.

so are you ging with the duraspark or with the stock TFI setup that was on that motor. best bet would be to convert to duraspark but you may have it because i am unsure if they made the feedback system with LPG. with duraspark you have a vaccum advance distributor, a carb with no sensors, no tfi module, you will have a grey ignition box.
If you need the duraspark wiring any for vehicle with duraspark will work, doesn't matter the motor or vehicle.
you don't use a flywheel on an auto only on sticks. You need a flexplate. Call the wreckers and tell the the year of the motor and they can tell you an interchange years or go to parts supplier and just ask for a flexplate for an 86 with a 4.9 and auto.
i realized after i posted about the flex plate fly wheel thing. right now im startin from nothing on my motor. so i can go with the duraspark if it will work better. i made a 4 barrel style intake to run the propane.my motor was fuel injected but now with no emissions and not street driven i need an ignition that is easy to work on and wire up.thanks..............eddie
yea duraspark is about the easiest you can get unless you go to points.....it just hs a igniton box that mounts on the inner fender and then the wires for the motor, and oil pressure wire, temp wire, two coil wires, and the 4-6 wires going to the distributor....then there is jsut a few to run under the dash....i get get the wiring diagram if ya need it. duraspark just works nice because of availibilty of anything needed for it.
