where is the engine s/n on a e99 7.3 ?

the number on the rear oil cooler brkt? that the only one i see i think that is right i see 1815739c2

It should be on the block next to the bracket.

That's an INTL part number.

If you have the stock VCs the driver side should have the sticker with serial number and engine build date.

thanks robin i tried to read that decal even with a mirror i coulndt see it all thought i would ask before movin the tube out of the way. i didnt see any numbers onthe block im gonna look agian and move the tube now.

You will also find the last 8 digits of the vin number running horizontally.

I have noticed that the engines built in Brazil have a much lighter engraving. They all start a 5 in the S/N.

This isn't for a truck whose VIN begins with a "3", is it? The engines for those trucks were made in Brazil, and have a different range of numbers assigned to them.

no sir pop it begins with a 1 . my engine # is783810 // i was trying to figure out if the epv rebuild kit i got fro clay will fit i have the hourglass shaped pedestal and i was reading that it might not fit. thanks guys wes
