Model A cars (and I assume same witht he trucks?) have the vin stamped on the driver side top of frame rail just behind the front body or cab mount bolts? about 25" back from the front cross member, usually the cowl section is sitting on top of the numbers?
good luck reading the numbers, I know I can't quite make out all the numbers on the 2 "A" frames I have.
Josh
Edit, if your body is mounted to the frame still you may not be able to see it as it's likely under the body/cowl subframe rails. I dont know were but suppsoedly the model A engine had the same number stamped somewere on it? not sure where to tell you to look though? that and the engine could have easily been replaced at least once in it's lifetime???
