I just installed an AFE 4" dpf/doc delete pipe with an Edge Race Evolution CS and I have to say I love the sound, power, turbo spool and the mpg gain. I kept everything else stock for now (till i move out of CA). I've only driven in short drive type stuff but I've gone a month on 3/4 of a tank thus far. I have yet to tow my fifth wheel with it but I can't wait. I have to say, it's nice to have the ***** re-attached to my truck!! I also have an S&B air intake up front.
I just put 4" DPF delete exhaust on my 2008 as well. I purchased the Superchips Racing programmer on my rig. The power is insane and the sound as well. I did not use any type of muffler since these trucks are already fairly quiet. This thing sounds like a jet when it is running. The increased fuel economy is the main reason I did it though. I went from 11.2 pencil to paper miles per gallon to 18.9 ptp miles per gallon @ 82 miles per hour. I am dealing with some trouble codes, but am told that it is just because my installer left the EGR plugged in.

Unless you have EGR deleted do not unplug! The only code you might get is for air filter, No others.
