I am gunna be in need of some new rubber. This winter i put on some cooper discover st's and let me tell ya i hit the fields and i was sceptical but my uncle said give it a try and it went thought at one point snow up to the doors. The truck has a 2in lift. got the the truck with the lift and 285/75/r16's and took them off and put on the st's at 265/75/r16. I am debating on a couple of different sets.

here is a Tire Survey link that might help you decide on which tire.. It think the best tire is Michelin but thats just my opinion.. Tire Research : Tire Survey Results
I love my Michelins. I took them for granted until I realized it's been 45k miles and they look almost new (with the exception of one that has a bolt sticking through it at the moment)
I chose Kelly Safari TSR. Incredible in snow and mud and extremely quiet on the highway. Found them for a much better price then the toyo m/t or michelins.
I really like the Kumho A/T KL78's. The set on my truck currently has over 46K miles and still going. Hands down they have soundly beaten my last set of BFG A/T KO's in every way. I'll be getting another set of these when they finally wear out.
I just got a set of Yokohama Geolander ATS's and so far, they work real well in the snowy sloppy roads this winter as well as dry pavement. I haven't taken them off-road yet but that will be soon.
For snow tires I got a set of Yokohama Geolander I/T and they are hands down the best snow tire I could ask for. For my summer tires I have Trxus STS A/T, I would recomend them they havent let me down yet, not to mention they have a very cool and unusual tread pattern, there worth looking into
I have 305/55/20 Nitto A/t's I like them alot. Very quiet and think they cost less than the BFG's. They are a good looking tire. I get compliments on them a lot. We had snow this year and always get ice and I have never had a problem. Went through some pretty big drifts and pulled a lot of people out. I dont think they wear as well as the Michilens, but I dont think they cost as much either.
This is all good I think I will be going with maybe a 285 still want good mileage but I will be making the trek from Michigan to Wyoming for college in Aug
I'm giving Hankooks a try this time around after Brendan was giving them high marks and have been very pleased with them, so far this winter I have been able to drive around in the snow & slop in 2wd where as in the past needed to lock her up, and they are quiet too boot
I only have about 10K on them and they are wearing great, and they hold up to towing also no squishy feeling.
My last set of Michellin M/S where great towing & quiet, and wore great but were lacking in the snow
