Alright guys....i am pullin you all together for some resources....I need to find a set of 17x10 wheels.....looks don't really matter at this point....something cheap....I am goin to save and get the one's i really want but for now i just need something to pass the time with....if anyone can help...please let me know....thanks....B
Try some of the shops that specialize in rockcrawling, cheap 17's are the rage so the new MTR and Krawlers will fit. They will be steel though, and definately not pretty. About the cheapest aluminum ones are in the $160 range. rockbuggysupply, avalanche engineering, or rockstomper4x4 come to mind, do internet searches with those names to find the sites. Good Luck!
CB, you're probably right, I always forget the new worthless metric pattern, probably are no cheap 17's yet for the SD. Lamest thing about the new axles!(cept for that unit bearing)
Check out wheelsforless.com, I'm ordering the Eagle Alloys style 1024 in 17X9" 8/170mm pattern for $159 ea. Friend of mine is running the Eagle Alloy 1439 17X8 w/ 37"X 12.50 /17's those are $139 ea.
Haven't seen any steel wheels in 17" w the correct pattern except for Allied beadlocks. I've been told that Allied will build a beadlock look wheel also, custom order.
I'm no help here, but why 17" wheels? Are you guys wishing you had rice burners? If I could get 15" for the truck i'd do it in a heart beat due to the difference in tire selection and price compared to 16" or bigger.
