97' Expy leaky trans
(1997 Expy 4x4 5.4) I was putting on a new starter last night and noticed a red oil seepage on the bell housing around the rubber plug. It doesn't look like it running down from anywhere but it looks like its coming from the rubber plug. any idea's

I agree with alloro, it sounds like the front seal. If you want something to get you by, you can try this.
Lucas Transmission Fix : Lucas Oil
I have used it before and it worked very well for stopping a leak. The worst thing that will happen is you spent $15 and still end up needing to pull your tranny to change a seal.
