I have a 99 Exp. and the A/C is inop. The curious thing, at least to me, is that the A/C seems to be working properly (all the hoses feel like they are changing temp. to match the cycle) but nothing but heat comes out. So I've eliminated the compressor and refrigerant from the equation. Wondered if there is a switch or manual vent that changes the direction of air. I would really like to fix it, but I don't want to tear it apart until I have an idea of what is wrong. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
When you say nothing but heat comes out do you mean hot air or that the air doesnt come out where it's supposed to? There are blend doors to change direction of airflow and temperature.
The temperature door is electronic, the direction doors are vacuum operated.
