Hello, The wife finally approved doin some more mods to the good ol powerstroke, I'm trying to decide on which exhaust system to choose. I have narrowed it down to the MBRP S6200AL for $367 or MBRP S6200P for $283 at Riffraff Diesel performance. Looks to me the only difference is the polished tip and maybe steel quality looking at the pic's. What do u guys think????? I live out west so rust is no prob.
Thanks
Either of those are good choices, Clay's prices are awesome so it really falls to personal preference. If you go with the less expensive you have money for additional mods.
Either one will do. If I were you though, I would wipe it all down with brake cleaner then paint it with stove black. Did my Dad's and it turned out awesome, and adds a little more protection. I did my down pipe way back when, thinking that it would rust from the heat cycles, and it has held up all this time. Just wish I would have done the whole thing.
I just ordered the S6200P for $283 at Riffraff. Clay said the only difference was the warranty and the tip. I also live in Cali so I was not worried about the one year difference on the warranty. These are all things you need to consider? Depending on where you live this maybe a factor?
"WARanger" I defiantly like the idea of the black Stove pipe paint? Where did you find that and do you remember the heat rating?
If it was me I'd spend the $$ on something else, you already have 3 1/2" with a straight thru muffler. I doubt you'll see anything out of a 1/2". If I would have known I'd have never cut out a perfectly good exhaust. JMHO
Im in the same boat, I cant decide if I want to go with the MBRP single 4 inch, or get the 4 inch dual. I am pretty sure I am gonna stay away from stainless only because we don't really have salt here on Long Island, and I usually wash my truck twice a week in the winter anyways.
Does anyone have the MBRP 4 inch duals?? I found a few kits online, but most come with big tips, and I don't really want to run tips anyway....
My MBRP just came in last night, smokin' fast shipping from RR. I am hoping to get it installed this weekend if it dose not snow here in the valley? I can give you an update when I get the new system on?
I also have the MBRP S6200AL kit and it's fabulous. Have a second set of hands available for the downpipe or be prepared to spend some time fussing with installing it.

I used a jackstand under the downpipe to prop it up while I attached the clamp to the turbo exit.
Left it loose so I could adjust it for correct position.
Installed the rest of the exhaust, then tightened everything down once it was all correct.

Heck, you can pick that stuff up anywhere, I think I got mine at Wally World. It says it's rated up to 1200*, I have both Duplicolor w/ceramic, and Rustolem. Either works great, and a heck of a lot cheaper than buying the "blacked out" MBRP.
Here's another couple of pictures..........I really regret not doing mine.
Hey Ducci can you let me know how the install goes? I would really appreciate the feed back. I think I am just gonna get the 4 inch turbo back, not the 283 dollar one but the 375 dollar one...little bit better material and the three year warranty.
How exactly does the down pipe come off the turbo? Is it just one clamp that holds it on?

I used a couple of 2x4's, zip ties, and got it in by myself. I should have taken a picture, it was quite funny.
Thanks for the input guys!!! Ducci for sure let us know how the install goes, i wanna learn from your mistakes, lol. Looks like you cant go wrong with either kit.
