$15.00/gal? Is this a joke? What happened to good old ethylene glycol? Before I even start the flush I'm out over $75 bucks on the 4.6L. Do I really need to flush every 100K?

Yeah it's crazy. There is another aftermarket fluid that's gold, can't think of the name right now, starts with a Z I think. Anyway that stuff meets the specs of the Motorcraft Gold. But yeah $15 is what I paid too.

You could go down to the parts house and buy a gallon of 50/50 for $8 Why are you out $75? All you need is 2 gallons of gold and 2 gallons of water. That should be $30. The Motorcraft stuff is concentrated. Yes it should be changed every 5 years or 100k miles, whichever comes FIRST. Coolant is a lot easier to change than a heater core.

Read the back of a bottle of SuperTech coolant.
I've been using that coolant for YEARS, bikes, cars, trucks. Not one issue at all.
