Have 1994 f150 5.8l with modine oil cooler that adapts onto the stock oil filter housing. The unit interface to the filter housing has begun to leak quite profusely, especially after the engine has stopped. I have removed the cooler/adapter. The only identification I can make out are the patent numbers ( 3,743,011 & 1360 055 ) on one face and the number L153 stamped on the other. there is also a '1H' in ink on that side.
(i) are there replacement gaskets?(this gasket looks identical to the one on the spin-on filter itself)
(ii) does an o-ring go into the groove on the mounting bolt?(just under the circular flange which applies force to the cooler face)
(iii) what is the material of the gasket itself(in case one has to be made or adpated)
I really need to get this truck back in operation, and any help/info would be greatly appreciated...!!!!
