Wrong adapter
Wrong adapter
I have a '88 F150. Last week, I posted a thread about an oil leak. With your help, I determined that the leak was coming from the oil filter adapter ( the truck has a '89 FI 460 with a 90 degree oil filter adapter ). Well, I didn't look hard enough at the adapter to realize that it has hoses to an oil cooler. I all ready bought an adapter on line that has no capacity for a cooler. It is just a 90 degree adapter. My questions are does any body know what this part may be called, and where to get one?, and if I can not find one, would it be harmful to use this one, and remove the cooler? The truck runs good with good temps. would this cause problems? Thanks for your help.
