Hey guys, Im still farely new so if i receive help and takes me awhile to reply im sorry. So thanks ahead of time!! But to my point. I noticed ever since i put 3" dp and 6637 filter on idle has been high almost 900rpm.. Not that those to mods should have anything to do with it. Is there anyway possible that i could turn it down without messing with the TPS?? Thanks again guys.
Idle is controlled by the pcm and there is no way to adjust it. Is it 900 only when you first start it or is it 900 when the engine is warm? Any difference whether it is in park or gear? Auto or manual? How old is the oil and what grade?
Its like that at idle and when warm. oil was just replaced 50 miles ago. its mobile one synthetic. no difference when in gear or park, auto. hope that can help find an answer.. :/
Is it possible the ebpv is sticking closed? When it operates does it increase idle rpm to overcome the higher load on the engine? Its been so long since I've had an ebpv plugged in I don't remember
Its a steady idle at 900, 1996 f-250, i deleted the ebpv and rebuilt turbo. have superchip in it but i know thats not the problem because i took it off and it made it rough idle at 900. I tried the EOT and it didnt change anything.
