Should I get the new style fittings on Bob's site (with the new red o-ring) Replacement O-rings for Ford Diesel Engines and Replacement O-rings for Ford Diesel Engines to go with the new lines, or is it ok to use the old ones and just replace the o-rings? I'll be replacing quite a few parts this summer and want to start buying what I need now so I'm not too broke come summer
You van replace them but not mandatory. The main difference is the outer seal ring. It helps keep grit and grime out of the connection. If your fittings have worn o-rings (internal ones) then it would be a good idea to get new ones, or at least new internal seals.
I know one thing for certain.......Bob is an excellent resource for us! I ordered some of these last summer to make a test tool, took like 6 weeks to get them in. If I knew Bob wasgoing to carry them I would have went through him.
Here is a cutaway of the fittings showing the internal seals.

Forgive me, but i'm still slightly confused. So these new style fittings can be used with new and old hpop lines? Just want to make sure before I get the wrong one.
Just make sure you order the right ones. The fittings on the HPOP and heads are different from each other. I have links to both of them in the first post.
So, where is a good place to get replacement HPO hoses? Does Bob have these or are they an Ed item? I figure after 12 years it's probably time to replace those things...

Clay at riffraff has both of them. Not sure if he is the cheapest, but i bet he is
Thanks Clay. When I click the link, I do not get a photo so I am not sure if the fittings are included. Do you have those as well? Those new style fittings seem like an upgrade, is this true or should I just replace the o-rings and keep the OEM fittings?

Original fittings are fine, the orings aren't to seal oil in but to keep rust and debris out. The new lines don't come with the fittings and we will have pics up Friday or Monday. Thanks
