OK, I pulled the trigger! Bought the 2000 Limited.
It's a one onwer 2000 Limited white/tan, V10 with only 53k miles. Truck is super clean!
Ened up paying $9500 for it.
Congrat's!
We love our Ex. It's a great family vehicle and we use it all the time for longer trips. You can fit everything, tow anything, and they look pretty good to boot.
There are some great threads on here for adjusting the steering gear if you find that your's wonders a bit. It takes little effort and did wonders for our Ex. Plenty of other great information here too if you look around.
Body is straight as an arrow, Not one door ding in this truck. Leather is in great shape too! Only problem is the carpet has some stains, the leather on the steering wheel in worn, and the CD players not working right. Has brand new tires and the wheels shine like new!
Bought it in South Fl. and drove it back to Altanta yesterday. Around 700 miles. Stopped at a rest stop on the turnpike in FL. and a guy offered me 12k for it. I almost took it! But didn't want to have to walk home. LOL!
First think I want to do to it is replace the VHS player with a dvd player. Anybody else done this in a 2000 EX?
What I would do is get a double DIN head unit with DVD/MP3/Bluetooth/GPS with rear camera input and use the video out for the LCD screen you have already. Since your head unit now is not working properly, that's what I would do.
I'm not sure if you remove the VHS player in the back, there would be big holes in the roof. You can still keep it to play any old VHS tapes if you haven't donated them to the Smithsonian.
It's too late to consider this now but I was going to point out that if you were interested in getting more power from the engine, it is a heck of a lot easier to achieve something with the 5.4 as opposed to the 6.8. The aftermarket support for performance components is there because of the Lightening. I have a 5.4 and would love to eventually build the engine just like the Lightening guys do.
