Question diffs

Hello!
How can I tell if my differentials are limited slip? The guys at the dealership said they can tell by the plate number on the diff itself. Is there any other way?

The tag on the diff is probably the easiest way. The second row of numbers on the tag will start with your gear ratio. for example 3 73 is 3.73 open, 3L73 is 3.73 with limited slip.
There should also be a sticker on your driver's door jamb that has codes for various parts, one for the axle. Get that code then cross reference that code with one of the various deocders that are on the net (I think there's one posted in the Transmission forum)
