P0305 code after doing head gaskets
I just don't get it... Its running extremely rough threw that code and I checked the connection to that injector and it was good.
Blowing lots of blue smoke, idling and driving horrible.
Any ideas?
Thanks

The code indicates that cylinder #5 is misfiring due to a loss of compression. I'd pull the valve cover and check the injector and valve train parts. Is it possible you didn't torque an injector properly?

Ouch. Could that one injector cause it to run that badly?
I guess I'll pull that valve cover tomorrow morning.
It's always possible but I could of sworn I did it right. But I guess everyone makes mistakes...that would be the cause of the blue smoke right?

Yes, it can be absolutely horrible. IIRC a misfire code can be the same or similar to a CB code. Maybe one of our good Tech's will reply in a bit. The thing that concerns me is the loss of compression indication which could mean valve or valve train damage.

***** well i just pulled the truck into the garage will take the valve cover off tomorrow morning and then maybe pull the injector out.
Oh and I also took off the oil fill cap and smoke was coming out?
Maybe an o ring on the injector got damaged going in?

#5 cyclinder. IM thinking bent a push tube.
did you turn the engine over by hand like I suggested?
but It could aways be a bad injector

Yes i did turn it over I took the injector out no damage to it or the o-rings, all the push rods were good....
But now I think I have a bigger problem, this sound is coming from the drivers side...
sounds like a rod knock? I don't know
Ill wait for some input from you guys before I go tearing into anything.

ya sorry I hade the sound muted... my bad.
good news not a rod at all. its a bent or kicked push rod. not a big deal just gonna have to find out were it is.
pull the other valve cover and crank the engine over using the silenoid wire at the passanger battery. look for the valve that is not moving correctly.
