When hitting a pothole or a bump, I have a clunk in the front end.
New ball joints. And sway bar bushings from Energy.
I have looked at the shocks and they look good.
It is hard to tell if the spring end bushings are bad. I do know that the spring tip isolators are bad, but can't find where to buy them.
If anyone has any ideas, to guide me along, please chime in.
I hate to go to the dealer.
Thanks to all. Jim
Make sure the track bar is tight. Also on the spring isolators for the factory leaf's, I got the Ford kit... worked great, no more squeak or pop on sharp left turns.
Make sure your sway bar arms that drop down are tight as heck, mine work their way loose every 6 months or so. Drive axle bearings, universal joint going bad?? Just some ideas and parts to shake on.
I just replaced the sway bar bushings this past summer with Energy Suspension Product. Just started again recently, but a much deeper sound than the sway bar knock. Thanks Guy's Jim
a little bit after I replaced my sway bar bushing i developed a very similar noise in the front end and it ended up being the leaf spring bushings... makes almost the same noise as sway bar bushing.
