William, Im near metro airport. the closest place (that I know of) is in manchester. the place out on will carelton rd doesnt have bio the last few times i checked. the place in manchester has it winterized and blended b20. I run it when ever I can get out there to buy some. otherwise its ULSD with some power service added to it. I have seen lists on line here and there that show all kinds of places that have bio but when I call and check I find out that "oh that was years ago we dont have any of that anymore"
thats good to know about storing biodiesel. so if you have a steel fuel tanks on your truck youre just waiting to rot the tanks then i guess?
Ahh. detroit area.
I havn't seen any down there, was down in waterfeeeerd yesterday;
I am gonna start buying from this guy and I have two plastic 55 gallon drums for that. I was talking to him about buying more if he had it and using it for home heat too,( my tanks are in the basement where it is warm. That was when he told me that it will rust out my oil tanks. He heats his garage too but he has plastic tanks. I am going to run a 50/50 mix to start and hopefully switch to all bio for the summer.
He also told me to get a spin on filter for down on the frame, they are cheaper to replace and give you added protection. He has been running this for about 5 years in two vehicles and heating his garage.
I dont know if it is worth it if I have to find plastic tanks for the house.
