Some years ago a friend had gone snow skiing for the first time, in North Carolina. She's not very athletic, and quickly executed a sharp right turn and landed in the woods. Fortunately she didn't strike anything to cause bodily harm.
One of the staffers at the resort saw her in the woods and came over to read her the riot act. She gives as well as she takes and shouted back, "If I had any control over these skiis do you think I'd be here in the f'n woods?"
