Column gear selector moves?

I have a '69 f250 w C6. I noticed when i accelerated from a stop that my gear selector moves about an inch or so. I wonder if this is related to the clunk noise (which is also on accelleration) that i have been trying to figure out.
How can fix this? Al

Check your engine and transmission mounts , one or more are probably broken

I'd see driver side motor mount.With a helper start up and putfoot on brake and give it gas and see if engine lifts up.
