Transer case NP208 Screwed
The transfer case was ran without fluid for about 25 miles. Anyways, the transfer case will shift into 4 hi or 2 hi, but I have to find the gear by moving the selector left and right to find it. It shifts into 4 lo no problem and the gear selector doesn't move left or right. Also the tranfer case selector used to not be able to move left or right in 2 or 4 hi. Also going down the road, when I slow down with heavy braking, It pops out of gear. What could be wrong with it?

there is a nylon gear in these that you have melted. i did one about six months ago. check the archives for a post about it.
if you let the fluid out, you will probably see plastic chunks in the fluid.
i had it fixed at a tranny shop in one day for about 400.00!
