Be careful when buying chrome dress up

Just wanted to give a heads up to everyone. I bought some chrome door handle covers for my F-150 in August. I bought them off ebay from yesbuyautoaccesories eBay My World - yesbuyautoaccessories

Well after a few months now of having them installed on the truck they have turned green and are full of pits. I do live in a cold climate where we use salt and I am sure that caused the pitting and discoloration but the truck also has chrome, wheels, grille, bumpers and side steps. All of these have been through 4 winters including 2011 and look as good as the day I bought the truck. The best the ebay seller will do is offer me a new set at half price. There products are garbage and I guess you get what you pay for.

Stainless Steel and Chrome and Fender Trim Molding by TFP, Inc.

This is not a cheap alternative, but they used to do Stainless Steel versions of the chrome covers. Might be worth looking at. Putco would be my choice if TFP didn't have what I was looking for. Putco does chrome, but it's good chrome.
