Looks like delivery has been pushed to Wednesday, normally this wouldn't be a problem but after reading through this forum I don't know how I will make it, So many thing to do and haven't even seen it yet!
Oh oh, another one bites the dust! Already hooked and you don't even have delivery. You better go and get some counseling. "Hi, I'm Don... And I read too much on fte and dream about my next mod. I'm sure glad I'm part of the fte X forum, so I can get the help I really need"
Welcome on board, but remember the more you read the more money you will have to put aside!
Welcome! You'll find that there is no other vehicle made that can do what the x can do. Especially, if you tow or camp and carry the family with you! The SUB I had does not compare to the X. Good luck and happy modding!
I am kind of fighting a loosing battle here, I drive our Jeep Liberty CRD Diesel, my wife drives the 03 ram Quad 4x4 Diesel which is bad enough but she hates the jeep and loves the truck. Now she believes she is getting an excursion to drive what is it with women and trucks? To top it off if we ever travel anywhere together I drive, whether its 1 mile or 2400 she will ride all day long and not even want to drive.
Well The new Excursion is now at home. We love it so far, a few small repairs to make. Back glass supports wont hold the glass up, one running board light out (Read it could be the socket), A scratch on the drivers door we knew about (I think i can wet sand the bottom but will have to touch up the top of the scratch its a little too wide and deep), also the abs light came on found out my obd II doesn't scan abs codes. and lastly we knew the door lock motors needed replacing they have seen ordered and will be in Monday that way i can et that fixed soon. And to end on some good news the previous owners brought the excursion to Nebraska from California, they even had it detailed when they got to Nebraska before we picked it up, and gave us every service record they had, including the original sales contract, sticker, letter from ford thanking them for the purchase, 6 ford factory programed keys, every receipt and invoice, and the ford 2000 model year accessory catalog. It was really cool to see everything they had and the original documentation 11 years after the fact. The previous owners really took good care of it and even had to go see it one more time before we left. See some new pictures below.
