Hello All, nice to find fellow Excursion enthusiast. We just purchased out first excursion its a 2000 LTD V10 4x4 with 96K miles, It will be delivered from California to Nebraska on Monday. Really wanted the diesel but didn't want to spend the money Guess the 03 Ram Cummins and 05 Liberty will have a Gas burning Step brother. The immediate plans are to go to an 05 front painted bumper and grill with 05 headlights. Considering airbags on the back, but not sure where we will go from there. Here are a couple pictures.

Nice rig! (Looks just like the one that got me interested in an Ex.) What are you going to do with it?
Suggestion... read as much here as you can about spring swaps, RAS, Hellwig, air bags... before you take the 1st step. There is a LOT of info here

Thanks, we are going to use this as a daily driver, needs to earn its keep pulling dump trailer and skidloader on the rare occasion the ram is unavailable. I have read through approximatly 20 pages of post and cant seam to stop I believe I got a good deal but should have spent less to leave more money for mods!!

Looks like delivery has been pushed to Wednesday, normally this wouldn't be a problem but after reading through this forum I don't know how I will make it, So many thing to do and haven't even seen it yet!

I am considering getting rid of the chrome and going to painted bumpers. I have seen that look and really like it, my mind isn't made up yet, still have to see what parts I can find.
I am thinking something like this:
