Just purchased this tuner used and hooked it up for the first time and not able to find the option to save stock strategy, it has an option to load new tunes and shows all the new tunes and might give option to save after choosing new tune but not sure so waiting for advice..
on the x2 you can not do a dump file but when loading tuning it automatically saves the stock tune. it will first verify the stock tune, then save it to the device. once that is complete it will begin to flash in the tune you select. if you plan to do custom tuning you will need to go to sct's websight and down load the latest live load software and probably upload the newest firmware to the xcal2. if it was unused it likely has a really old firmware. i had to figure most of this out the hard way a few years back and had a refresher course last time swapped turcks and bought some tunes
Thanks for the info, I did contact the person I bought it from and he walked me through it, simple after you know but I sure didn't want to mess up anything. Loaded the tow tune and checked it out but not able to tell much and also loaded street tune and shifts were firmer and lag better but not sure it got rid of all of it..overall love it so far..
Who's tunes? Might try the spartan archive. I've run most of the tunes and prefer hybrid race. About the best daily driver tune. Great throttle response..... Be careful with it the throttle is touchy seriously.

I was lucky finding the tuner at a great price and it had three tunes that fit my strtegy. I wanted it mostly for tow tune with brake and helping the lag problem is just icing on the cake, can't wait to try it on a long pull..
