I have a 2005 F-150 and want to buy some wheels from a guy who had them on his 2000 Navigator? Will they fit my truck? They are both 6-lug.
Also, My truck is a lifted 4x4 with 35" tires on 15 "rims.
The rims the guy is selling are 20". has anyone seen 35" tires on 20"wheels? does it work/look ok? Are the tires more expensive? I offroad lightly now and then.
I agree with NASSTY. I don't think the '00 Navi came with 6 lugs.
Additionally if you're concerned with the cost of tires, do not get 20" wheels. The same diameter tire in a 20" will be about $100 more than the same size in say a 18" wheel. I have factory 20"s and recently bought new rubber. It's an expensive adventure.
The Expedition's bolt pattern is 5 x 135, so without going to some kind of adapter (if you can get the right ones, they'll be $$), you are out of luck. Like the others said, 18's are probably the best compromise.
ok thanks. I am just going by what the guy told me who is selling the wheel. he sent me a picture of them and they are in fact 6-lug. He told me that he had them on his 2000 navigator/expedition. Guess he's full of *****?
Also, I bought my 2005 F-150 brand new with a fabtech lift from the dealer. They gave me 15" wheels with 35".
I am just tired of the look. I also notice that no matter how good quality tires I get, they eventually start bulging on the sidewalls. I thought this was because my wheel is so small, making the sidewall of a 35" large
I'm not one to normally call BS, but are you 100% positive you have 15" wheels on your truck currently? A 15" wheel should not have enough diameter to clear the stock rotor and caliper assembly.
Just a thought.

oops, they are 17". So how much more expensive will tires be for 20" wheels?
Just checked TireRack to give an idea:
BFGoodrich AT K/O
305/65/17 is $268 per tire
compared to
305/55/20 is $355 per tire (on sale, reg $375)
Yes both are slightly shorter than your 35" currently, but it was the closest diameter and width match.
The price difference will vary by manufacturer.
