well Finally got it back together. with the help of the members on this board, turned out to be a bad timing set. too much slack. so i ordered the comp cam 35-255-5, lifter/timing chain kit and put it all back together. after readjusting my timing, it idles awesome. and between the cam and the long tubes, it sounds mean. My vacuum is 16-17 and according to the vacuum chart, with the after market cam my numbers are correct. Once again thanks for all help and input
