Have ya considered red side wall strips? A little red on the wheels, be it center cap or side wall would really accent the black and white. Think about it.

Well, haven't thought about it, but I believe that may be too "muscle" car for me. Sure would be different though! I'm going back to bed - just got up to pee and got all wrapped up in this. C ya for now.
Just an idea on the black, if you haven't tried it yet. Go check out the black BBQ specific paint. It's super durable, and has a semi flat look. May be just noticeable enuf, yet hide the uglies underneath.

Just may try that - gonna mess around with it more this weekend. Also may see how chrome paint looks on it. Luckily it's not big deal to change it out.
not sure of the year - just know there is one or two that have a red bar going across the center - maybe it was just on one that I've seen and somebody painted the center bar
As original: 1969 Ranger only. The center horizontal grille bar has a concave section that is painted RED
I've never seen a w/w tire with a thin inner white ring and a larger white ring on the outside. The reverse, I've seen planty of.
Ever seen Vogue Tyres? These have a w/w about the same size that's on your truck now (w/w has ripples in it), and a thin outer GOLD ring.
Dealer installed for decades mostly on Luxo barges like Cattle-Hacks, PUick Roadmashers/Limited's, Lincolns/Marks, Thunderchickens, Imperials, Rollers and Bentley Upplies.

Haha - well I now have a 72 Ranger with a RED horizontal bar! It's a "one - of" - you may see it go thru Barrett-Jackson some day!
Oh yes, familiar with the Vogue Tyres - pretty sure they're still made.
The tires with the double rings I posted are made by Diamondback Classics in South Carolina. The "laminate" the walls onto tires and can make any thing you want. GREAT GUYS
Can't wait to get those wire wheel covers with the red centers - ought to set my truck off nicely with that red grill bar!! Thanks again for the lead on those wheels Bill.

Reason: addition
like the looks of the grille definitly changes it up over a stock 72. where did you get the bed cover? i been debating getting one for a short bed
Got the bed cover thru Summit. It is made by Truxedo - style is a
LowPro QT. You have to custom order one for these era trucks as their standard sizes won't fit our beds. They did an excellent job on making it - fits great.
I really like the way it looks and it's a piece of cake to install. Only took 2 beers!
does it use snap on strips to attach the cover? how does it mount to the bed? can you take some pics of it if possible. i seen you found some NOS wire wheel covers for the white walls can't wait to see them installed they should look great
