Vacuum switches

I just bought an 03' FX4, F-150 and would like to know if the two vacuum switches on the firewall just behind and above the battery are for the heat/ac and which is which ? they have black, yellow, redish and blue lines going to them (2 ea) and two wires ea. and are about 1-1/2 " high.
My control changes the air flow from the floor to the defrost and to panel although the panel doesn't seem to blow as hard as my car (02' Taurus) if that matters
I do have heat but my wife says she feels real cold air coming in on her side but only when we're moving, all I feel is heat when it's parked, it is the standard heat/ac and not the climate control.
I found a broken vac line near the frame on the pass side from when they replaced an exhaust manifold but it only improved my mpg a little but not the heat.
Couldn't find and am just not sure where the cold air is coming in from,
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Those vacuum solenoids are for your front hubs in 4x4 mode.

Thanks for the response, would you have any idea where the cold air is entering from ? its only on the passenger side and when we're moving and my wife says she can feel the heat also coming from the floor discharge vent on the hump and the cold further to the right side. Heat comes out everywhere else.
Thanks, HoJo

i have not had the cold air on the F150, but on the Explorer, there is an "outisde air door" behind the glove box. The control arm broke and the door flopped down and causes cool outside air to route to the passenger floor area.. I took out the glove box and saw the door thru the grill. I used a small dowel that i had cut so it had "teeth" like a very course hack saw blade. I shove the dowel thru the grill, pushed the door closed, rotated the dowl 90 degrees so the teeth caught on the grill and pup a drop of RTV on the dowel. YOu dont need the outside air anyway..

see drawing at the bottom of this post. door #7 controller broken and air goes from arrow 8 to arrow 10. THe door is suppose to be 100% open or 100% closed, not in the middle flopping around.

Sir, there is a lot of information related to your problem. I am trying to remedy the same problem myself. It is probably related to either your 4x4 actuator down by your front hub, or a vacuum leak in one of the colored lines coming from your solenoids. try these strings;
