Hey guys I'm looking into purchasing a 99 or 00 f150 scab with a cracked block. My plan is to fix it up and use it to haul my 4 wheeler.
Anyway I'm looking for the best options and opinions on what I can do. The factory configuration on this unit is a 4.6 with a 5spd manual. I'm not keen on putting another 4.6 2v back in unless I absolutely have to. I would Like to do a 5.4 or a 4.6 3v and 5 spd from an s197 mustang. What would be needed for either of these swaps? Can the stock 5spd hold up to either engine? Or am I stuck with another underpowered 4.6 2v?
