cruise control doesnt work

i have a 2002 f150 5.4 4x4 and the cruise control stopped working a few months ago and i cant figure out why, all the fuses look good. i remembered seeing other poeple post things saying they had the same problem so i thought maybe there is a common thing that goes wrong with these trucks. if anyone has any ideas of anything i can check that would be very helpfull. thanks

From: St Louis

1) SCDS switch open

2) Servo cable disconnected from throttle

3) Run "Speed Control Self Test" (<-- SEARCH keywords).
