I need a new hood.

I has happily driving along this morning and then all of a sudden my hood just flew up while I was driving at about 60 miles an hour. The hood is pretty baddly damaged and I'm pretty sure the only way to get it fixed is to buy a new hood. I can probably hammer it out and get it to kinda sorta fit, but it will never look the way it did before.

I've searched the web as well as a couple catalogs that I have and I can find hoods for just about every year except for mine. Where can I get a hood for a 1963 f100 4x4?

Sorry bout the hood, if you will post your location town & state, there might be someone close by that can either help or suggest something.

Guys you have to lube your hood latches and make sure the safety latch is catching. There is no need for this to happen.

It's my understanding that 61-66 hoods will all inter-change. The differences are in the trim.

My brother and I were in both Ecology wrecking yards in south San Diego today. they had one 63 and two 64 F100's. All seemed to have good hoods on them.

If you get desperate, these guys Chevy Car Parts | Vintage - GMC Car, Classic Truck Parts are near Anaheim Stadium in Orange. I got mine there 2 years ago; But I don't know if they carry them anymore, you can check their website or give them a call. If not NPD has a shop In Ventura, both of these stores will sell new repro's..... good luck A few of the local PYP "Pick Your Parts" junk Yards have had them recently as was posted in another thread on FTE. Actually I believe it was the PYP in Morovia that had a few trucks there on Friday Good luck!! If you find a few of them let me know.
