OK... I guess it's as obvious to all you guys as it was to me.
After reviewing the HVAC diagram posted recently in another thread, https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ml#post9860321
... it was easy to determine that there was a problem with my vacuum control motor for the Panel/Floor door. I knew it had to be that because I could get air flow in both the panel vents and the defrost vents, and there was adequate system vacuum to switch between those control options for both A/C and defrost.
When I dropped the glove box down, the first thing I saw was that the connector for the vacuum control motor was not in place. It had to have simply vibrated loose because it was working before Chirstmas.
Sooo... I plugged the connector back onto the vacuum control motor (the black thingamajiggy) and I now have heat on the floor again!!
The toasty toes were not as much of a need as reduced air flow towards my eyes... my contact lenses have been drying out like crazy with the only source of heat coming through the defrost vents. Now I can drive, see, and stay warm at the same time!!
Glad you got it Pete, I remember not to long ago you were inquiring about that problem and I believe Robin's writeup helped us both find loose vaccum hoses behind the glove box. I like easy fixes....
