Looks lika a job for a rollback Charlie.
They still do it. I guess maybe the same thing is true in Baldwin County Alabama. I'd recognize those tags in a heartbeat. Lived there 12 years.
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
When I get the proper hangers, I plan on putting the 1892 mfg Winchester 1892 in .32-20 on one side and either the 1894 Winchester or the Henry on the other side.
The Angora Chaps were handed down from the 1870's. I only wore them for very special occasions or shows and they can be very hot. The Lariat was a working Lariat the folks gave me for High School Rodeo's and I retired it for a different Lariat right after high school. I need to get the piggin string up there with it.
The pistol was one of several I used in Cowboy Action Shooting. Generally, for popping balloons from a running horse. Loaded with 45 grains of black powder. The powder grains themselves would pop the balloon when fired at the balloon.
The hat was my ApHC Chief Jo Campaign hat for a great many years. Two 5 year pins and one 10 year pin. I've got a second 10 year pin put away for safe keeping, but that one was given to my horse.
I am not in a big rush to go nowhere fast.
So, when I'm driving at 73 in a 65 (8 over the speed limit) and passing that Semi that is driving 7 or 8 mph over the 60 mph limit (67-68), and Mr. 80 - 90 mph entitled comes racing up behind me flashing his lights and honking his horn, he's the one that can cool his jets. I was there first and I'm passing the truck, I'm driving 8 to 9 mph (73) over the speed limit, and I will move back to the right lane when I finish my pass. And No!, I'm not speeding up to 85-90 just to appease the Komifornian or Washingtonian (usually one of those two) behind me. One of the two of us is either going to have to slow down for the truck in the right lane or pass and I had moved over and was passing first so I didn't have to slow down.
Probably my bigger pet peeve is "Failure to Yield Right of Way when Merging" or seeing the signs saying move left (or right) approaching a construction zone. 90% move over as instructed, 10% see an opportunity to race up until they get to the blocking cones - no more lane and expect the 90% to stop and let them in.
Usually, if you get stopped for 90 mph on the freeway here, You get a VBR citation in addition to a careless driving cite. Push nearing or over 100 and I hope you have bail money and money for the tow truck.
The one that irritates me is the Semi diving at 68 mph in their "Trucks 60" limit and passing the Semi that is traveling at 67. That one mph difference can stack up the left "passing" lane for what seems like an eternity.
