92 E4OD problem

On my 92 F350 dually (460) the E4OD died without any warning.
No converter shudder, no gear hunting or slipping before, just went to neutral.

It makes a very slight movement when going into reverse, nothing in forward gears.

The fluid is full, and while not perfect its not that bad. (Not overly burnt, I've smelled worse).

Is it possible it's a solenoid problem?

I did a search but didn't see this issue, thanks!

It isn't a solenoid problem. No matter what any of the solenoids do the trans will still go into gear. Something mechanical broke inside the trans.

Sure, rain on my hope parade...

I figured that, but my experience with computer controlled transmissions is limited.

I guess you might want to hook up a gauge to the test port and see if your generating any pressure. Normal idle pressure in part is about 55-65psi. If no pressure then you're going to have to pull the pan and ensure the filter hasn't dislodged or is plugged. If it's plugged you've got other problems that will warrant a pull. If everything is in order then, I'm sorry to say, you'll have to drop it and find out what's broke. Could be several things.
Maybe someone else can recommend something before you pull but its not looking good.
