Coincidently, 2.77 bar is exactly equal to 40psi....

I am guessing your reader is displaying the wrong units like David said.

Interesting. 2.77 bar. There is a commonly used unit of measure.

My Edge Evo reports the barometer PID as 13.7 kPa. Now I know that normal atmospheric pressure at my elevation is NOT 13.7 kPa. It is about 13.7 PSI though.

As a chemical engineer i actually use Bar/Atm/PSI a lot... i don't use kPa much...

Although 1 Bar = 100kPa, so its not that crazy of a unit. I am actually a little embarrassed i know that off the top of my head I need to get out more.
