I just bought a $316-dollar Bosch code reader from O'reilly for my 1994 F-150. In everybody's opinion, what would be the best code reader for this truck?
I may yet buy that same actron but for now I will use these to see what I can learn about ol' Jasper's vital signs. A Bosch OBD 1300 and a Bosch FIX 7677 Multimeter.
For OBD I I, I have Focom software and their USB cable. We'll worth the $450. Also have one of those Bluetooth ELM327 adapters and Torque app. Very handy.

I bought the ELM327 and downloaded the Torque app and can't get it to work on my '96. Something about proprietary code that Ford wrote into the sofware is what I'm learning.
Anyway, not to threadjack, I found an Actron OBDII reader at a pawn shop about seven years ago for $25. That thing has paid for itself so many times. At least once a month someone will call me needing it to fix something.

Get the FORScan app (for android or PC). It'll work.
