I've noticed that during winter, my transmission temperatures have not exceeded 160 F. (ScanGauge II reading factory sender.)
Does this mean the thermostat hasn't opened and the fluid that's in the pan stays in the pan and the fluid in the cooler remains there? In other words, if I drained the pan and refilled with 8 - 9 quarts of Mercon LV and drove around never exceededing 160F, would the new fluid mix with the old?
