12f outside...

Anything under 190 would be unacceptable to me.

+1 for the mishimoto t-stat. After my 2nd thermostat this year stopped holding above 186f in july, i swapped in the mishimoto. I see 202-204 in the summer with it and 200-202 in cold weather. If i have the heater turned up, it will drop to 196 at the lowest sitting in traffic. The truck seems to run better at higher temps. I was afraid it would run too hot towing, but it doesn't run any hotter than stock. It held 208 and only touched 210 (when the fan kicks in) in a couple steep grades. When i towed with the stock t-stat, the cooling fan come on a lot more often, albeit the ambiant temp was higher. I feel like the mishimoto opens up more than stock by 208.

Ordering one today along with a new housing. Since it turned colder here she won't run above 185, usually around 181......I know the mileage has gone down of course but it does not seem as "spunky" as it does when it runs around 185 and up.
I don't know much about the programming or if these have a closed loop setup but 185 sure seem to be the magic number on this truck for mileage and performance.
Not to mention the fact I don't want to go the grille bra route.
