hi all
2010 escape limited. does anyone in the colder climates (michigan) notice any type of draft coming in around the steering column? i have checked for any missing plugs ect. around the firewall, but nothing looks out of place. heater is working fine, and no problem with it warming the truck, but this is an extremly cold draft on the legs when the temp drops down around 10 degrees or so. any ideas??
thanks
bob
While riding as a passenger, I did feel a cold draft directly under the glove box, behind the lower panel. Just reach up while in motion to detect the leak.
I thought it might be the A/C was running in that particular setting, but it did not seem to change when I changed 'mode'. I think there is leakage, but haven't taken the time to investigate yet.

I have the same issue in my Jeep checked it out and what I found is that its the cold air being moved around behind the dash. When the Jeep gets warm issue is gone.

I know that the 91 Explorer we used to have as well as our current '01 Explorer leaked air right around the inside door handles. It's a pretty cold draft when the outside temp is below 0...........You'd think Ford would have fixed it in a ten year span. I checked both of them out and the watershields behind the door panels are in place. Does this on both drivers and passenger sides.
