Hey guys I had a set of the smoked recon cab lights mounted on my f250 about a month ago luckily I have had no problems so far. I know you guys have really had some issues with there products on here. I really need to get the smoked side mirror lenses in order to finish off the look of the truck. It just doesn't look right with the orange side mirror lenses. However, I am kind of worried based on all the stories I have heard on here. Any advice or anything I should know before possibly making a purchase? Thanks

 

I have tons of friends with the recon smoked side lenses, none have problems. It seems to be their headlights, taillights and some other special things. i dont have problems with the cab and mirror covers

 

Ive had great luck with recon.. never had an issue with their mirror lights or 3rd brake lights.. they even warrantied one of my 3rd brake lights after a year... one set of cargos started flickering. I believe that customer service is all in how you approach the situation. If you tackle them head on with an attitude you'll get one right back. They control the situation.... their product.... their warranty... they can deny it... same as ford....gm.... dodge..... anyone. Walk into a ford dealership and yell at the guy behind the counter because the 6.0 in your truck sucks.... see if your warranty is still valid...lol..... they know the problems... u know the problems.... courtesy will get you a long way... just my .02 worth. I wont stop buying recon because one person had a problem... If they screw me over... then i'll stop buying

 

I've had no problems with Recon. I got the cab lights, mirrors lenses, and 3rd brake light.... all smoked. Install was smooth, fit was good. No issues. Go for it!

 

I got the 08 tow mirror lights and couldn't get either to work.. sent em back

Just ordered the clearance lights and turn signals...I'll keep you guys posted.

I, Too, have the smoked roof, 3rd brake light and mirror lights installed and they are all recon stuff. It has worried me about all the issues, but so far none here right now....

 

Off topic sorry, Scott, your truck looks great. Did you put the diamond plate insert in your step? Looks like I have the same step without the insert.
