It is interesting that a Lightning engine has clearance issues with such large engine bay to work with but it drops in perfectly in the smaller F150s and Expeditions. I guess the engines are set lower in those two compared to the Excursion and Super Duty.

It's the motor mounts. They are very tall on the lightning engine. We had to use them because of the remote oil filter aluminum piece was different between the two motors. I don't remember why the excursion mounts would not work?

Ahh, I see.

Have you ran any times on the Excursion? Like 0-60, 1/4 mile, etc. There is an app for android phones called car performance that times all of those for you...should give it a try if you have a smart phone.
